Lock-In 020!

Hey everyone! We're going to be holding our 20th lock-in event on Saturday March 6th! You can get in 12 hours of over-night gaming starting at 10:00PM. All the details can be found on our event page HERE.

We've got a bunch of new titles installed and we should also have Supreme Commander 2 up and running before the start of the lock-in.

We've got 37 seats available and I really hope you can make it down. Give us a shout and book a spot early!

Jockey!!

Left 4 Dead 2 is now available and we're holding a little party (just like we did for the original a year ago. Tomorrow night (Thursday November 19th) we'll be setting everyone's account to "unlimited" for the evening. The cost? How does "FREE" grab you? Just come down anytime after 6:30PM and if we've got a free seat, it's yours for the entire night. This will be first come, first served and preferential treatment will be given to those that are already there playing. This is also open to non-members so bring down a friend that's new to AP.

We're Oscar Mike!

Krug's on a roll! He's got Modern Warfare 2 up and running on all the machines now.

If you haven't heard, this PC version is a bit weird. It's a Steam only installation so we've created a number of house accounts for you to try the game out with. However, if you want to track your personal progression through the multi-player portion of the game, you need to purchase a copy for yourself.

We're such great folks here at AP that we brought in several retail copies to sell through to those that haven't purchased the title yet. We'll be selling at the same $60 that everyone else is but we'll also be throwing in a free hour for anyone that purchases the game from us. You won't see FutureShop or Wal*Mart doing that for you. Man, we're awesome.

Come on down and check it out. We'll be running a little in-house competition over the next month for a pile of prizes (more details on that next week).

Happy Halloween!

This Saturday is Halloween and guess who's working the "graveyard" shift. Me! Well, if I'm stuck working Halloween night, I might as well make it fun. So, beginning from the start of my shift at 7:00PM until we close, come down in your Halloween garb and I'll let you play free for the entire evening. That's right,...FREE. Just show up dressed up and I'll set your account up as "unlimited" for the rest of the night. That's the kind of cool guy I am. This will be first come, first severed so make sure you come down early. Preference will be given to those that are already here playing games (we open at noon) and discretion on what constitutes as being a "costume" will be up to me (not you) so make sure you do at least a half-decent job or NO FREE TIME FOR YOU! Oh, and we'll probably have some treats too.

Next week Valve is releasing their “expansion pack” for Left4Dead so we’re going to hold a little special for Wednesday only. Here’s how it works; bring down a friend that has never been to Absolute Power and we’ll hook them up with a free one-day unlimited account. You’ll get a free hour and your buddy will get a free day to try the place out.

Now you both can see how long you can last in Survival Mode! It'd be best for you both if you play_TOGETHER!

Dawn of War II will be released in the next couple of weeks and we'll have it sitting on all the machines for you ready to play. Come on down between February 23rd and March 8th and ask one of our staff for a FREE HOUR to give Relic's new baby a spin around the block. This Saturday (Valentines Day) we're running an all day special. Bring down you're sweetheart, significant other, honey bunch, snooky (etc.) and pay for some gaming time for yourself and they'll get the same amount of time for FREE. This includes our usual $25 Saturday all-day deal.

Also, don't forget to "Show Us Some Love" on our facebook group by posting a picture of yourself somewhere out in public with your AP stuff. We'll be doing a draw for a ten-hour pack on Sunday for that one.

Show Us Some Love!

We're holding a little contest called “Show Us Some Love”. Basically, we want you to take a picture of yourself out in public wearing the T-Shirt or Hat you got when you first signed up for your account or, BE CREATIVE,…build your own Absolute Power Logo show it off in public! Any photo will do (well,...you know,…no “nether region” type stuff) all we ask is you post it up on our FaceBook group (you have joined our Facebook Group,...right?) and tag yourself in the photo. On or about February 14th (Valentine’s Day) I’ll randomly pick a winner and drop 10 hours on somebody’s account. Easy Peasy.

It’s time to resume our scheduled Lock-In events! Number 18 will be happening on Saturday, March 7th at 10PM and closing down at 10AM the following Sunday morning.
