The last of the reveals for the Heavy class in Team Fortress 2 has been released today. Man, there looks to be a whole lot of very interesting stuff coming to us for the weekend. All the the details can be found HERE. You HAVE TO make your way down to Absolute Power to try the new game mode on the weekend.

Mr. (or Ms.) Pyro gets the big class update this time around with 35 new acheivements and 3 new weapons. Plus a tweak to the original flame thrower for good measure.

Well this is pretty awesome news. Unless, of course, you were a sucker and bought the console version of Call of Duty 4. It seems that the fine folks at Infinity Ward will be releasing the map pack that came out on the consoles a few weeks back for the PC this week,... FOR FREE. Can't say I didn't see this coming. Nvidia has sponsored this for the PC gaming community. What a swell bunch of guys.

There hasn't been a whole lot in the way of new releases lately but Team Fortress 2 is having a major overhaul in the coming days that will make for some pretty exciting competition (especially if you’re a medic). In addition, I think we’ll be holding a little Trackmania tournament. That’ll be good for some wacky racing fun!
Our beloved medic class is in for a whole slew of new achievements! Thirty-six to be precise. Valve picked some awesome names for these too; worth the read even if you don't play Team Fortress 2.
Also, FYI, we're trying to get a regular weekly game night going for TF2 on Tuesday evenings. Come on down and play_TOGETHER!
1. First Do No Harm: Play a full round without killing any enemies and score the highest on a team of 6 or more players. 2. Quadruple Bypass: Heal a teammate who's taking fire from 4 enemies at once. 3. Group Health: Work with 2 other medics to deploy 3 simultaneous uber-charges. 4. Surgical Prep: Have an uber-charge ready before the setup phase ends. 5. Trauma Queen: Deploy 3 uber-charges in less than 5 minutes, and assist in 5 kills during that time. 6. Double Blind Trial: Deploy an uber-charge within 8 seconds of a nearby enemy medic deploying his. 7. Play Doctor: In a team with no medics, be first to switch to medic after a teammate calls "Medic!" and then heal 500 health. 8. Grand Rounds: Heal 200 teammates after they've called for "Medic!" 22. Infernal Medicine: Extinguish 100 burning teammates. 23. Doctor Assisted Homicide: Assist in killing 20 nemesis. 24. Placebo Effect: Kill 5 enemies in a single life while having your uber-charge ready, but undeployed. 25. Sawbones: Hit enemies with your bonesaw 10 times in arrow without dying or missing. 26. Intern: Accumulate 7000 heal points in a single life. 27. Specialist: Accumulate 10000 heal points health in a single life. 28. Chief of Staff: Accumulate 10 million total heal points. 29. Hypocritical Oath: Kill an enemy spy that you have been healing. 30. Medical Prevention: Save a falling teammate from dying on impact. 31. Second Opinion: Uber-Charge 2 teammates at once. 32. Autopsy Report: Provide an enemy with a freezecam shot of you taunting above their ragdoll. 33. FYI I Am A Medic: Use your bonesaw to kill 5 enemy spies who have been calling for "Medic!" 34. Family Practice: Uber-charge ten of your steam community friends. 35. House Call: Join a game that one of your friends is in and then deploy and uber-charge on him. 36. Bedside Manner: Be healing a teammate as he achieves an achievement of his own.
Some of you may have noticed that we've started conducting a survey down at the store asking which MMOs you'd like to play at Absolute Power. Currently listed are Lord of the Rings Online, Everquest II, Eve Online, Lineage II, Planetside, and Tabula Rasa. As much as we'd like to install them all, space is sometimes at a premium therefore it's rather pointless installing titles that no one ever plays. If you get the chance, pop on down and sign up for your title(s) of choice. This is an "in-store" poll only because if you can't make the effort to sign up in person, you probably wouldn't make the effort to come in and play them anyway. We also have a sheet out for signing up other titles that you might like (no need adding Battlefield Heroes 'cause that's a given).
We'll be running this poll until the end of April and then we'll decide what comes, what goes, and what gets tossed forever!
I spent the night fixing Company of Heroes for you all so you better come down and enjoy the fruits of my labour. I'll expect you on the frontlines by 19:00.

We're currently rolling out F:FoW on the floor and, for the next two weeks, you can grab a FREE HOUR to try it out (members only). Just ask for it and it's yours. This title from Kaos studios and THQ is brought to us from the same fine folks who created the original Desert Combat mod for Battlefield 1942. Awesome.
Lock-In 0013 is scheduled for the first Saturday in March (March 1st). Starting at 10PM and closing down at 10AM the following Sunday morning. We will have a pizza break at about 1:00AM (pizza is included in the fees for the night).
We're going to have an open format for this one; play what you want, when you want. By the time the 1st rolls around, we may have Frontlines: Fuel of War installed (if it shows up on time). This title looks fantastic and is brought to us by the same guys that did the Desert Combat mod for Battlefield 1942. We've also got Sins of a Solar Empire installed for those of you that are into multiple-hour 4X space strategy games.
